Company-in-Residence

Cumbernauld Theatre’s Company-in-Residence programme is open to applications. The project provides practical support, career mentoring and artistic development to a small scale Theatre/Performance company whose knowledge and skills would benefit from an extended period of attachment to a larger producing theatre.

The focus of the project is on the whole development of the Company – organisationally, strategically and creatively – to help enable the longer term sustainability and ambitions of the artistic team. The year-long programme (running Summer 2017 to Summer 2018) will best benefit a small, highly committed team of theatre/performance makers who are determined to succeed together – especially those who see themselves building a Company that will make a significant contribution to theatre in Scotland. There may be work-in-progress and full co-producing opportunities developed through the residency as the year progresses. The Company-in-Residence opportunity is only open to organisations that are formally registered (or are about to become) as a Limited Company or a Community Interest Company or have clear plans to become so. The majority of Company members must also be resident full-time in Scotland. The opportunity is not available to those currently still in full time education. To apply, please email us: A summary history of the Company A little bit about core creative/company members who will be involved during the Residency A brief description of theatre/performance production you’re desperate to make.

You do not have to send complete project proposals or entire CV’s – you just need to introduce your work to us and about 2 or 3 pages of A4 should be enough. You can send web links to work if you’d like but it’s not a necessity.

Email your info to us at: Creatives@cumbernauldtheatre.co.uk

Deadline: 5pm on Monday 15th May 2017.
