International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day marking the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day itself means different things to different people, for some it’s a celebration, for others a call to action, and for many it’s an opportunity to recognise the achievements and challenges of women across the world.
Cumbernauld Theatre will be marking the day with a special event. We have a mixture of workshops, poetry readings and live music, as well as, crafts and visual exhibitions, plenty to have a look at as well as try your hand at too! Pop in whenever you are free or stay for the whole day, relax and share in celebrating the way women express themselves through everyday creativity.
