The Gardener is inspired by Karel Capek’s novella The Gardener’s Year
Directed by Tony Cownie. Designed by Ed Robson.
The same age as Mick Jagger.
In fact, they share a birthday.
Frank’s recently moved to Pinegrove Villas.
It’s a retirement village.
It doesn’t have any pines. Or any villas.
But it’s still a nice place with nice people.
Only there’s one thing that that Frank misses..
So he’s started up a new group:
The Gardening Appreciation Society.
To share some horticultrual hints and tips.
And perhaps one or two more personal tales.
Why not come along and join him?
A new play. About amateur gardening.
An intimate memoir of growing old.
And of a life spent in love.
