CUMBERNAULD’S COMMUNITY PLAY 2010
Cumbernauld Theatre’s Community Play 2010, 'Stitch ‘n’ Time' written by local playwright Brian Miller, is a fantastic, exciting, dynamic project that promises to be the talk of the town this summer season.
'Stitch in Time' is a large scale Community Play that involves over 100 people in all aspects of putting on a show - acting, designing, filming, building sets, making costumes and lots, lots more. This is an exciting creative project where people of all ages and experiences can participate working together, building our community and in telling the history of our town.
Want to take part? Would you love to be part of a fun and exciting project? Want the chance to show off some hidden talents or try something you’ve never done before? Or love doing something creative behind the scenes? Then this is your chance.
Family, friends, neighbours, children, parents, grandparents, groups – anyone! - can all get involved in this fantastic play.
Audition and Behind The Scenes sign up forms are available from the Cumbernauld Theatre Box Office. Deadline for submission is Wed 7th April at 9pm.
Public Meeting – Tuesday 6th April.
Cumbernauld Theatre launches the community venture of 2010 and invites the local community to a public meeting. It will be held on Tuesday 6th April at 7.30pm to 8.30pm when Cumbernauld Theatre’s Artistic Director Ed Robson, and local playwright Brian Miller, welcome everyone to a special introduction to Cumbernauld Theatre’s new Community Play 2010.
Public Reading - Wednesday 7th April.
A Public Reading of the Play will be held the next day on Wednesday 7th April from 7pm to 9pm. The reading will be lead by playwright Brian Miller, community play director Kat Harrison, and the Theatre’s Artistic Director Ed Robson. Anyone who wishes to take part, or just find out more about the show, are invited to come along and will be given the opportunity to take part in the reading or simply listen to the play.
