Mossend Primary School wins Cumbernauld Theatre’s Christmas Show Competition.

The lucky pupils of Mossend Primary School have won the ultimate Christmas gift as they collected an entire ticket refund of their booking for 2009’s Christmas Show, Snow White.

Schools across North Lanarkshire, Falkirk, East Dunbartonshire and Glasgow took part in a special competition for the enchanting Christmas production of Snow White at Cumbernauld Theatre for the chance to win back the fee of their school trip. Pupils were invited to create a class picture around the theme of ‘Snow White and her Friends in the Magical Forest’.

Claire Brogan, Business Manager of Cumbernauld Theatre says;

“Congratulation’s to all the pupils at Mossend Primary School for their fantastic class picture. It was wonderful to see all the amazing pictures the children created. We’d like to thank everyone for their entries - there’s been some great team work, creativity and imagination.”

Among the amazing entries were entire wall freezes to 3D models and photographs.

Cumbernauld Theatre regularly provides exciting new shows programmed especially for schools and children. This spring season welcomes the hugely popular Sticky Kids: Spring Sing-a-long and Cumbernauld Theatre’s fantastic Easter Drama Workshops. And that’s not all - planning is already underway for the Theatre’s 2010 Christmas Show and it’s going to be an extra special one with the wonderful Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol.
