GOSH!

1PM PERFORMANCE IS NOW SOLD OUT

Loch Ness, 1880.

The sound of a Scottish kiss echoes in the Highlands.

More powerful than a bagpipe solo, more mysterious than a Scotland Yard investigation, more intense than Sean Connery's gaze. Based on the fabulous and tragic destinies of the Campbell and MacLeod clans, Gosh is going to be the most famous French musical in Scotland.

The three Campbell sisters, Mary, Margaret and Lizbeth, are living with their despotic father, Irvin, in their inherited manor on the shores of Loch Ness. Further to his accidental death, Margaret and Lizbeth run away to Edinburgh, leaving Mary by herself in the manor.

In Edinburgh, while Lizbeth is experimenting with jail for having killed a passer-by, Margaret meets Ewan McLeod, an immortal.

When the sister plots to steal his eternal life but will only lead to their certain death and bring them to haunt the manor where Ewan remains...

Gosh! is a devised piece about Scotland, Scottish people, their rites, their culture, their traditions.

But it is mostly a clown-like point of view of our French clichés about Scotland. The four actors involved in the show have put on stage all their misrepresentations and wink at the Auld Alliance to which Scottish people are so attached and which is more and more forgotten in France.

The tour is organised with the support of the following venues and institutions in Scotland and France:
· The Cumbernauld Theatre, Cumbernauld
· The Alliance Française, Glasgow
· La Ville de Lyon (Lyon City Council)
. The twinning organisation "Bron-Cumbernauld" in France

The show is being performed in French language and subtitled in English.

Running time of the show: 1h15 (no interval)

The show is suitable for ages 12 and above.
